Above the Clouds:
Tomas’s Journey up Mt. Slamet

One of our Outside Indonesia team members, Tomas Arbi, recently shared his exciting experience on a trip to Mt. Slamet in Central Java, which is the second highest mountain on the island of Java. Tomas said, "The trek was challenging but incredibly rewarding! The tall trees provided perfect shade, keeping the weather pleasantly cool and while you are at the top, you can also see the peaks of Mt. Sindoro, Sumbing, Prau & Cermai from a distance" He enjoyed breathtaking views of the lush jungle, a true gem of Indonesia’s tropical forests. This memorable 3-day, 2-night adventure with friends included a thrilling climb to the summit from post 5, using a rope to navigate.

KEEN ZIONIC WP : These shoes have a breathable mesh upper that's super flexible and comfy, adapting well to your feet and the terrain. They dry quickly, thanks to a soft foam midsole and insole, plus a full rubber outsole that provides great grip. You'll be glad for this when you're climbing to the top, where the ground mixes soil and rocks!
